Ellie’s lovely Holiday Cottage in Hastings, Sussex.

Ellie’s Cottage, 9 All Saints Street, Old Town, Hastings, East Sussex, TN34 3BP.

Ellie’s Cottage, is a quaint, old, heavily beamed fisherman’s cottage dating from the mid 1700’s.  Situated in the picturesque All Saints Street, in the heart of historic Hastings Old Town, it is approximately 800yds from the beach and bustling fishing quarter, and the newly opened Jerwood Gallery.

The recently refurbished holiday cottage sleeps 4 and comprises of:

• A ground floor cosy Lounge with a beamed ceiling, oak flooring and working open fire.
• One first floor double bedroom with king sized bed. Exposed antique floorboards and beamed ceilings.
• One second floor twin bedroom with exposed antique floorboards.
• The Kitchen also has a beamed ceiling,  the original brick flooring and is fitted with cottage style units, Belfast sink, range type cooker, fridge, washing machine and tiled work tops.
• The Bathroom is  located on the first floor, and is equipped with an over bath shower.

From the kitchen there is access to:

• The secluded rear patio area, with table and chairs.
• Steep steps then lead up from the patio to the enclosed garden area.
• To the front of the cottage there is a second patio area, with table and chairs, with views down All Saints Street.
• A barbeque, fuel and tools are provided for your use.

Ellie’s Cottage is a non smoking property, however smoking is permitted on the patios and in the garden.

Things to do on your Holiday Cottage doorstep.

From the cottage it is easy walking distance to the East Hill, with its fabulous views of Hastings and Country Park with its cliff top walks to Fairlight and beyond.

A short walk from the cottage down All Saints Street will bring you to the beach and Fishing Harbour, where fresh local fish can be purchased from the many fishmongers.

Within the Old Town area you will find an abundance of pubs, restaurants, art galleries, antique shops, individual boutique type shops, museums, theatre, cinema and other attractions to keep you entertained.

Although All Saints Street is permit parking only area, other local roads have unrestricted parking. Parking permits are available for the local pay and display car parks (£22.00 per week) at the local Hastings Information Center, located in Queens Square, Hasting Town Center, TN34 1TL.

• Initial coal and logs for the open fire. Further available to purchase.

• Colour TV with DVD and free sat receiver.
• Range cooker. Double electric oven, grill, plate warmer, gas hob.

• Fridge.
• Welcome basket, with all the ingredients required for a Hearty English Breakfast.
• Bottle of wine. Further available to purchase.

Ellie’s Cottage is (well behaved) dog friendly, and is happy to accept 1 medium sized dog (Collie size) or two small sized dogs (Jack Russell size)

The cottage is available for 3 night weekend breaks (Friday to Monday), 4 night weekday breaks (Monday to Friday) and 7 night week breaks (Friday to Friday).

Ellie’s Cottage, although very quaint, may not be suitable for children under five and those who are less able. The floors within the cottage are uneven, ceilings low and staircases steep. Access to the cottage from the main street is via several steep, uneven steps.
